The Swastika...

ok...before anyone launches a "anuj-hates-jews" attack...let me better explain the title...the swastika is a religious symbol from the hindu religion...i actually came across an article that was really cool...it talked about its origin and how it was prevalant in many forms throughout various indo-european cultures...here's a really cool excerpt:

One of the symbols the Aryans had was the sun wheel, representing the sun and originally meaning "well being". Originally a letter of the ancient Indo-European Sanskrit language, this emblem was carried by Celts, Germans and Slavs throughout their wanderings, with the Celtic Cross later incorporated into Christian symbolism. The sun-wheel was developed into the sign known today as the swastika and incorporated into the Indo-Aryan's religion, from where it was transported over into the Hindu religion, which sprang from a corruption of the Indo-Aryans' beliefs. This is the reason why the swastika can be seen to this day in Hindu temples.

i thought that was pretty cool how christianity and hinduism are tied in common roots...that just goes to show that we all have common roots and a common spiritual hand guiding us...its up to us to figure that out and focus on what's more important instead of fighting about artificial barriers that religions impose...

well...enough of my wise words for today..haha...exams aren't over yet...i have no motivation to study...i miss hema...(hema: if you're reading this -- I do!)...and i haven't seen my grandparents yet...or my mom...or my brother...and i still have two exams...and waa waa waa...well...this thursday i guess...have to make a beeline to augusta for niraj's graduation...some hooding ceremony...i knew MCG was really a base for the KKK....i think they have affirmative action now...which is why my brother is being inducted...hmmm

i guess its time to go to sleep...i am averaging 2 yawns per minute....so its time for me to nod off...
