The Florida Riviera

i'm back and i'm brown baby! errr...browner i mean...haha...the beach trip was awesome...i'll get into that in a bit...first like all Georgia 1L's i must pay homage to the write-on gods and offer one virgin as a sacrifice to appease them and boon me with a position on the Law Review...{faint noise of a dull blade hacking into human flesh is heard in the background}...ok...that's out of the way...well...the write-on memo was a big, constipated dump...i know thats not an appetizing description...but thats the best i can do...its one of those things that you want to get over with...get it out of your system...but it just hangs on for dear life...but eventually i did excrete out some crazy legal writing and sent those envelopes packing...

and then...hello Seaside, Florida! that's right...friday morning hema and i left for the Watercolor Inn...we packed into three buses...with a bunch of other people...on the way we watched some movies...ate lunch...ipodded...and had a good time...we got there and damn....that place is nice! we got these wristbands which basically meant anything we desired was free that weekend...we both changed quickly and headed off to the beach...after getting enough of the salty water...i decided to lay down the law in some beach volleyball...of course a droopy net helped me make some awesome spikes a la Meet the Parents....then we headed to the resort bar...and enjoyed some drinks before heading back to shower and change...then we explored some of the cool gardens and the lake nearby....and then on to cocktails and dinner at the pier...it was great...did you know seaside is the idyllic town where they filmed The Truman Show?

next day...we went canoeing very early in the morning...like 10AM..haha...that was fun...except remind me not to volunteer to steer when i row with hema...haha...it was so funny...there was this strong cross-wind...and neither of us could turn quick enough....so we crashed into these reeds...and hema is screaming for dear life! i mean...you couldn't ask for a softer crash...anyway...after that...i showered again...cuz my bulging muscles were gleaming with sweat..haha....then we dropped by the BMW concierge...and got a brand spankin new convertible to drive around for three hours....i gunned that engine like crazy...we ended up visiting some shops and a secluded strip of the beach...we also picked out our future home...haha...we're only a few million short...doh...then we had lunch...after that i went to the beach...hema went to the spa to get rid of her crazy back hair...hahaha! i'm kidding...it was a facial i think...anyway, later on we all went out to this italian place and had a great dinner...a lot of other people went to another bar...but we decided to chill back at the resort...

and then before you know it...sunday was here...as every morning...we totally rampaged the breakfast buffet...they had everything from smoked salmon to imported cheeses...i had a bad experience with this unassuming piece of cheese...turned out to be wasabi cheese!!! my nostrils are still mad at me....we left around 11 for a trip back home...back to the rain...back to traffic...aaah..i hate reality sometimes.

so i've been back at work...will this post never end...geeze...its been eventful...the quick and dirty...yesterday...i went to a lunch honoring gov. barnes...lotsa big noses were there...and not just cuz it was a jewish thing...haha...today we had mayor franklin at breakfast...she seems to be a pretty good mayor...and her future plans are cool...finally...i was made a fool at lunch today...we go to this nice seafood place downtown - Ray's....and i order sushi and fries....yea i know...that's such a faux paus...anyway...i'm opening my bottle of ketchup and SPLAT!!! all over my suit...so i say that polka dot red and black suit is in style these days...it'll catch on...you'll see.

other than that...life is cool...saw some good movies...Ray...The Aviator...Finding Neverland (again)...gotta lot more stuff going on this month...so stay tuned...don't touch that mouse button!

pictures of the beach trip coming soon!
