And So It Ends...

well hema and i finally broke it off...i mean it just wasn't going anywhere...we both knew it...and no matter how much we nurtured it...it just became stagnant...sometimes you just gotta accept the realities of life ya know? so...last weekend...i went over to her house...and it was over in a matter of minutes...a sigh of relief...by the way - i'm talking about the dying tree in her backyard that we uprooted...

ok that was kinda lame...but thats me...the other thing ending this week is my tenure at K&S...its been a fun and challenging 11 weeks...can't believe its over...did a lot of things this summer, but it feels short...and school's right around the corner...uggh.

while i look forward to being a 2L...i also dread it...i made law review...woot woot...but that means more work....and law school was supposed to be a break for me...a break from the real world...not a whole lotta chillin gonna be happening this fall...i look forward to being with my friends again...to my new apartment...to my new back to school clothes...ok not the last part...that would be too much like high school...it will be a drastic change to have to figure out my own lunch again...i was spoiled this summer...and the bathroom scale shows it...haha...imagine me with the tiniest of pot bellies...

well...peter pan at the fox was awesome...cathy rigby...she's 50+, but she pulls off the role so well and with such enthusiasm...even though she's been playing it for years and years...and that theater is just amazing...i love the faux sky ceiling....

what else...wedding crashers was hilarious...loved that movie...oh yea...i had this asian gazpacho and got a sore throat which led to a cold....i finally fell sick...but i'm better now...so hopefully won't get any problems for another year....

up ahead...i'm going to be moving stuff and switching apartments...i'm also busy trying to renovate my condo and renting it out again...so busy busy....and then there's the interviewing nonsense coming up...that will be painful as i'll have to drive back and forth everyday...yuck.

well...gparents leave tomorrow...tis sad...they're off to switzerland to parade about with the vontrapp family...haha...and i'll be up in athens this weekend...moving furniture...hopefully i can just tell granville where to put things and have hema fan me with a huge tropical leaf as i sip a lemonade in my hammock...

Canoe Race! Charmi LOST!!!! 

Big Canoe

big canoe was a lot of fun...hema couldn't make it...but i went with my family...and charmi and her family...had a nightmare getting there...i printed directions...but left 'em at work...the printer at home didn't print...so i just took my laptop with the directions....well halfway up the mountain - the laptop died...aaah! lucky enough a kind soul stalked us up the mountain and then offered to show me where i was going...i didn't even know the house number...finally found the place...it was gorgeous...beautiful view...next day we did some hiking...then went to the pool...did some canoeing too...the next day we did some more hiking...saw some beautiful waterfalls...no. no..didn't climb 'em this time...no more death wishes...anyway...we left late on sunday after playin some frisbee...

i gotta give props to my grandparents...especially my grandma in her sari...they hiked up and down all around for miles...even through spots where the footing was sketchy...at 75 yrs old...thats a feat...at 75 yrs old and a sari - thats freakin badass...

monday was back to work...got an interesting assignment...i'm writing an article on the recent supreme court decision that could make the Kazaa's of the world nonexistent...no more illegal downloading of music...i think not - the geeks always find a way...anyway...it might get published in an IP journal...cool stuff...

tuesday i went to whole world for some improv...lotsa fun...except for the fat-man-flash...uggh...yesterday went out with sapana and aman for her birthday...to zocalo's...then to piedmont park...tomorrow...hema and i are going to the Fox to go see Peter Pan...its supposed to be amazing...and we have good seats...

Mr and Mrs Jones

well...not a whole lot been going on...last week..hema and i went to see grease @ piedmont park...that was a cool experience...i just hate the whole waiting period until the movie starts...and if you get there right when the movie starts...you can't find a good spot...next time...i'm just going to pay my minions (dix & goose) to reserve a spot until i come...then they can fan me with banana leaves to keep the mosquitoes away...

july 4th was blah...didn't do anything really...finished jeffrey deaver's latest - the 12th card...it was pretty good...i'm back to reading the behemoth shantaram now...that will take some time...also went to IKEA...what a waste of time...took an hour to find parking...then about 30 mins to get in...and what do i come out with? a potholder and squeegee...yeah! haha...the store is cool but def gotta wait till the craziness dies down...

yesterday we saw mr and mrs smith...that movie is badass...i loved it...hema slept as usual...jolie is the caucasian aishwarya rai...they could be twins! anyway...it was smart, stylish...fun...after we came out of the movie...i thought i was a badass assassin too...and we were going down the stairs...and i did this fancy turn to come up behind hema and start shooting her with a fake gun (morbid i know)...and only to catch myself when i notice a lady shopper staring at me oddly from the top of the stairs....haha...

but now i feel bad for enjoying the movie...especially with what happened in london...really sux...while they say its al quaeda...i don't think so...it was far too inefficient of a bombing to be condoned by them...in either case - its bad...the world is just blah and getting more blah...time to move to some deserted island...

well...tomorrow will be something to lift the spirts...going to big canoe for the weekend! i'll post pics and stuff when i get back next week...laterz
